One moment that was memorable from the 8th grade trip was climbing the rock wall. I thought that it was memorable because it was fairly easy but when I reached the top the feeling was great. So first when I was hooked up I began my journey up the wall. It was fairly easy to climb up to the middle of the wall. But then, I had to reach up for a rock while needing to extend my foot up to my chest in order to stay on the rock wall. I was able to make the maneuver and was almost there. Finally, when practically there, I just jumped up to the final rock and made it to the top. I was filled with joy and pressed the button confirming my completion of the wall. Then I went down, feet pushing against the wall and landing with satisfaction.

My special friend is nice. Is a good person. We hang out together. My friend makes me laugh. He can be very irritating. But he is there when I need him. We do things together like going to camp and playing games. He is the closest thing I have to a good brother.
This weekend I had a baseball game. We had only eight players, therefore we had to play with 2 outfielders which made it difficult to get all the balls hit there. Because we were short some players, I got the opportunity to pitch. It was the first time I pitched this year. I felt tense, nervous, and excited all at the same time.My team was making a lot of errors which was put more pressure on me. The first inning it was the bottom of the other team's order, the weaker part of their lineup so I felt good. I threw the first pitch and it drilled the batter in the leg. I was already in a bad situation. So the next batter I tried to keep the ball away. I was able to get a pop-up. Getting the first out really relieved me knowing that I was only two outs away from getting out of the inning. The following batter I blew 3 pitches past him and struck him out. 2 outs. Finally, I had 2 runners on after walking the next batter so I threw a ball to the right handed hitter down and away and he hit it right to to the first basemen and I got out of the inning un-scaved. Overall, my first pitching outing went well this weekend.
The quote "Failure is the key to success; each mistake teaches us something." means even when you make mistakes and fails it teaches you to not make that mistake again. For example, if you get an answer wrong on a test it will teach you to not make the same error again. Once that happened to me and I was able to revise it and did not make that mistake the next time. This quote inspires because it will strive me to do better after making mistakes. Not only for school, but throughout life.
